Nana Entertainment Complex
Nana Plaza is somewhat relaxed, not a ping pong ball in sight and they use regular bottle openers to open the beer.
There are 3 levels to the square, each lined with beer bars (mostly downstairs) GoGo bars and ladyboy bars. Beer is a reasonable price and there is no entrance fee. If you’re a guy, expect to be hassled though.
Each GoGo bar is largely the same, a stage
filled with lovely young looking Thai girls (with the occasional
dwarf,) seductively dancing in the centre or being very athletic on
chrome poles, each wearing little else except for a number. Seats
and tables for punters surround the stage.
The idea is this: you watch the girls for a bit, tell the Madame
which ‘number’ girl you want, then she comes and sits with you to
chat while you buy her drinks.
If you're interested and have a couple of thousand baht to blow, you can negotiate a deal with the girl for her "services", pay the bar fine and take your new found friend off for happy times.
Some bars have rooms, but there are short time hotels close by.
You get the odd tout asking ‘you waaan Thai girl? Thai girl veeerrryyy gooood’. There is no obligation to purchase any of the women, it is encouraged but you aren’t threatened or forced to pay a ‘no pay, no lay’ tax.
You are spoilt for choice in Nana and you will surely find a lady that ticks all the boxes for you. You can visit all the bars until you find one that feels exciting or "homey" depending on your tastes.
Something you might like to try is the soapy massage. They can be a lot of fun.
